Race 4 - Aldborough

A fantastic ride by Carl Saint sees him take for second as Darren Howitt sprints for the win.

A fantastic ride by Carl Saint on Aldborough (29 miles). The scratch group pulled back all but 3 riders with 10 miles to go. Carl’s lone ride to bridge the 40 second gap, to Marc Help, Seb Horner and Darren Howitt. Carl went straight to the front and towed them for 8 miles, with the odd turn from Marc and Seb, to hold the bunch at bay. In the sprint up the hill, poacher Howitt slipped past Carl to win leaving Carl in a very close 2nd, with Andrew Windrum 3rd.

The juniors seem to be riding well with them finishing in the bunch. Callum Sewell 6th, with a win last week seeing him well placed for the overall junior placing. Ewan Sewell, Will Bushby, and Nathan Edmondson all finished safely in the bunch.

Juvenile Luke Simpson, 14 years old and his first time in a road race, also finished in the bunch.
