The Chevin Cycles TLI Road Race Series is held under TLI rules. You need to be a TLI licence holder to take part but you can purchase a day licence and enter on the line. We recommend taling out a licence by joining TLI. There are 9 races in the series. The races are every fortnight starting from 29th April to the 5th August EXCEPT races 2,3,4 which are run on consecutive weeks. See events for a list of races. Briefly:

Prices
Members: 9 race series. £49.50.Members on the line: £6.50 per race.
Juniors: £4 per race
Juveniles: £2 per race
Non Members on the line: £10.50 ( to include day licence ) (See here for how to join the TLI )
NB: Prices are for Juniors/Juveniles with a TLI licence. Day licences can be bought when you sign on.

Handicap
All abilities are catered for. Novices are set off in a first group and are given a headstart before the second group are set off. The scratch group is then set off after another short delay. All the races are run on a few laps of the circuits. A bell as rung at the start of the final lap.Points
Winning a race gets you 50 points, 2nd place gets you 49, 3rd gets you 48 etc all the way down to 41 points for 10th place. Everyone else who rides gets 30 points. 7 events (IE 6 races and one marshalling) count toward the overall placings at the end of the series. Marshalling gets you 50 points everyone has to marsall once or provide a competent replacement to marshall for them. If you don't marshall your points for the series are void.There will be 3-2-1 points over the line for one lap of every race, the actual lap will be announced on the night.

Junior, VET 40, VET 50 and VET 60
1ST 2ND and 3RD overall winners will not qualify for age cat prizes
Club Shield to be held for 12 months by the club/team (2 or more riders) with the most race placings overall.
Marshalling
All particpants are expected to put in one races marshalling duty. For this you receive the full 50 points. If you cannot marshal you must appoint a competent individual to do it for you.Organisers

For all the races EXCEPT Bishopwood the headquarters will be Boroughbridge Leisure Centre. The two races at Bishopwood use Wistow Village Hall as headquarters.Red Cross
We would like to give recognition to the Red Cross first aid, who turn up at every race and follow the riders around, and give us good cover in case of accident. We would like to thank them for that.
